Prior to joining Chalkbeat, Lee held significant positions, including being the spokesperson and Deputy Chief of Communications for the Philadelphia School District. In this capacity, Lee played a pivotal role in shaping and disseminating information to the public and the media, effectively representing the district's interests and initiatives.
Furthermore, Lee's experience includes serving as the Press Secretary for the DNC Committee, where he demonstrated exceptional skills in managing and coordinating press communications during significant political events. He also served as a Communications Director for Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky and worked as a Communications Staffer in the Illinois State Senate. In these roles, Lee developed comprehensive communications plans and enhanced digital strategies to support his respective organizations.
Beyond his professional work, Lee is deeply committed to driving social change.
